ARCH members (Action Research Collective for Hospitality) are pleased to invite you to the presentation of their book Whose Future is Here? Searching for Hospitality in Brussels Northern Quarter, on Thursday 13 February 2020 from 6.30 to 8.00 pm at PointCulture Brussels (50, Rue Royale).

This publication is the result of a collective action research work carried out in the Northern Quarter of Brussels, in close collaboration with the Citizen‘s Platform BxlRefugees, which contributed to the definition of our lines of study and intervention, according to the needs and problems they encountered in their daily practice. ARCH's action research aims to contribute to the reflection on the conditions of an urban hospitality policy and to the improvement of reception conditions in Brussels, a metropolis crossed and marked by migrations. In publishing this book, we want to shed light on the situation of migrants in the Northern Quarter, but also to call on Brussels‘ citizens and government bodies, emphasising a common duty of hospitality and humanity.

After a brief presentation of the various research works that make up the book (mappings, ethnographies, photo essay, narratives, co-design), a moment will be devoted to exchanges involving guest speakers (associations, citizens, academics) and the public.
